train on April 9, 1936. It went a mere two stops from Court Street to Hoyt Schermerhorn. Since many of the other lines were so nearby, service ended on 6/1/1946. Court Street remained unused for 30 years but finally became the Transit Museum in 1976 to the present. Many subway scenes were filmed here for movies throughout the years!! The Hoyt Schermerhorn station is best known for the late
Michael Jackson's video "Bad" back in 1987.
