Welcome to the East Islip High School Class of 1987 reunion website. This is your former classmate Robert Kopolovicz about to share some recent photographs of our 20th reunion. For those who didn't attend, it was at Captain Bills in Bay Shore on 10/20/2007. After that, we continued the party at Lilly Flanagans in Islip as well as Maxwells across the street. All the memories of Junior High and High school suddenly came back in one evening!
Building an East Islip Class of 1987 website was a new inspiration to me from that one night. I got the idea as I was taking pictures and everyone asked if they'd be online. Already I had the wheels turning and I said yes. Graphic design and music are what I do on the side, so of course I was glad to build something like this for everyone. Hopefully, other classes will follow my lead and do something similar. If not, then this will be our own unique way of expressing ourselves.
To make this website interesting and part of us all, I would like to ask all the classmates with cameras that evening to please email some of your pictures. As this website grows over the years, it'll be really cool to see some photos from different perspectives. Pictures could be uploaded at anytime! So far, we've been on the web for little more than a year. From this, we've had some cute little get-togethers from time to time. Enjoy the website, keep in touch, and lets keep the spirit alive!
As of January 31, 2008 I've added a very unique feature to this website called "Interactive Faces", (IF) for short. This will enable you to click on anyone's face throughout the site and it'll tell you what their names are, plus clickable email addresses if applicable. Background music was played by yours truly on the keyboards. As of November 11, 2008, you're also able to see additional photos from the 1987 yearbook as you click on the faces! Most are finished. Give it a try!
