The Sunny Summer Sunday Special was a combination of the Nassau street loop , Fourth Ave subway , Sea Beach line , Brighton line , and Franklyn shuttle . It was conceived by the Brooklyn Manhattan transit (BMT) in May of 1924 and lasted a good 28 years. On weekends, it began from Chambers street, went over the Manhattan Bridge to the Fourth Ave subway non-stop, went to the middle tracks of the Sea Beach line non-stop until it reached Stillwell Ave. After that, it continued express along the Brighton line using the middle tracks until it stopped at Prospect Park. Then it went along the Franklyn shuttle until it reached Fulton street (Franklyn Ave), the last stop.

During the week, it went from Stillwell Ave local to Kings Highway along the Sea Beach line, then nonstop to 59th street, Brooklyn. This was a true railroad experience because you skipped almost all the stops in-between. Unfortunately, rider-ship was very low so it was phased out September, 1952. They tried to institute something like this again in 1967 called the service but it never really caught on. That too was phased out in 1968.
